  Be aware that weather can rapidly change in this climate :) However the effect of the walk is worth the effort you invest.

  Two hours of walking from Gargiaveien to Sautso (the original name of the canyon) but worth every foot blister; stunning view, steep walls. When I type in "Sautso" in Google Maps I land in Gargia Fjellstue, 15 kilometers northwest of Sautso; if I type "Alta Canyon" I get Alta City (30 km to the northwest) and when I hammer "Alta Canyon, Gargiaveien, Finnmark, Noorwegen" (finally) I get the startpoint for the trail to Sautso. Google do something about it, please; there is only one Sautso in the world. 10/10
