Silent Disco started in the Netherlands in 2002 with shows on Theatre Festival De Parade, Lowlands, Paaspop, Eurosonic/Noorderslag, Dancevalley and Pinkpop. After their first appearance at Glastonbury in 2005 the concept of thousands of people dancing in seeming silence took over the world by storm.

The European festival line-up in the last years included, among others, Glastonbury (UK), Benicàssim (ESP), Sziged (H), Exit (SRB), T in the Park (SCT), B-Estival (R), Eurockéennes (FR), Novarock (B) and The Edinburgh Fringe (UK).

The Silent Disco Show is touring intercontinental with shows in Brazil, China, Canada, Indonesia, Singapore, USA (New York) and Japan (Tokyo). Silent Disco has been part of Big Day Out and Future Music Festival in Australia/New Zealand as well.

Over the years Silent Disco has presented a variety of guests during their shows; live bands, comedians, rappers, actors, dancers and video artists. To give an impression: Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Fatboy Slim, Supergrass, DJ Yoda, Mystery jets, Peaches, Tom Green, Dirty Pretty Things, Alabama 3, Andrew Weatherall, Kieran Hebden AKA Four Tet, Appleblim, and more.
