Valkenburg aan de Geul. In the centre of the city is Santa's village. Nicely setup and great atmosphere. Several places to eat and drink gluhwein (hot red or white wine). Stalls with Christmas decorations, cookies and other related items. Other stalls have winter wearables.
Food stalls OK, but most of the rest is just commercial rubbish. The caves are even worse. Avoid Valkenburg and go somewhere else.
Christmas market in the centre of Valkenburg. Not especially big, but nice to visit nevertheless. We just grabbed some potato twisties at a food cart when passing through the market.
Nice shopping area, with good views and respectable restaurants.
Very scenic. Lovely architecture and atmosphere. We were there in summer
