At this time of year (November) took the last tour of the day at 5 pm and enjoyed the transition from daylight when the buildings are lovely to see, and night, when the lights in the houses give you a glimpse inside. Very warm in the boat.

We had a candle light wine cruise at night advertised for 2 hours but actually finished in 1.5 hrs. The cruise booking was smooth but the cruise itself was a bit disappointment. There were three couples on board but the guide was more interested in having a personal conversation with one of the couples and the other two were left on board unattended besides the occasional courtesy. Overall the commentary was disappointment. It felt like we were passing canals without much information. The only thing special about it was the moment of having candle lit dinner on the cruise with a bit of privacy. Will I do it again, No!!

Decent canal boat tour. Pre-recorded commentary supplemented with local color from the boat captain. If it's a nice day you may want to look into one of the smaller open top boats.

Great funny captain. Interesting facts and relaxing 60 minute boat ride. A reprieve from all the walking.

Do not waste your time! Spend 5 more euros and go on a boat that has windows that open! There is a glare throughout the entire boat not letting you see the sights and it's extremely stuffy inside. Also, the recorded commentary is boring and not efficient. STAY AWAY!

We did the Candlelight night cruise for about 30 Euros. It was well worth it, you and your party of 2 or 4 get three bottles of wine at your table. All you can drink in two hours and all the cheese and crackers you can eat.
Because I am celiac I could only eat the cheese, but still a great time. Your guide is very knowledgeable and speaks many languages. I definitely recommend this company and cruise.

I did the day cruise as well. This was good, but very hot and the guide was automated. Still a less expensive option for a cruise, I believe 11 Euros.

Really great value and interesting tour. Speaker volume was low so difficult to hear with background noise.

We went at night and were the only people on the boat. It was a really nice and informative tour through the canals and the staff were very friendly.

Booked Rederij Kooij for a private boat tour for our group of students from Canada. They were well organized, the price was great (beating all competitors) and they were prompt and on time.

The one area we felt disappointed in was the pre-recorded track. We were expecting much more information about Amsterdam and the sights we were seeing, but it was often 2-4 minutes of silence followed by a 1-2 sentence fact. I have taken the Canal Bus tour in the past and found there was way more information about the city, history and layout of Amsterdam through their recording. So while the views were lovely, it make the experience a little less exciting and interesting than I was expecting. We did appreciate the professionalism, price and ability to accommodate our group though. No complaints. Just wanted more.
