Who knew? There is a museum for everything. This one will take you to another time and somehow the sounds make it just like being there!

This is a very cool place, with lots of interesting self-playing musical instruments. Be sure to take the tour (it's included in the price of admission), because this is the only way to see some of these instruments play.

Mechanical music museum, great fun for children and adults. A tour in Dutch and English demonstrates old clocks, toys, barrel organs, and street organs. There's also a monkey hunt for children and they punch there answers into a paper and can use it to play a tune at the end.

Fascinating musuem of self-playing instruments. Going on the tour is a must as that is the only way to hear many of the instruments. The combo-ticket with the Dom Tower is a good deal as well.

If you love clocks or music boxes, you will really enjoy this. Be sure to do the tour, because they will play some really amazing music boxes for you (some the size of a room.) Plus, they have the marble machine that went viral a few years ago, though they can't play it.

Excellent place to visit, guided tours every 30 minutes. Tours guides are excellent full of enthusiasm and very informative. Its a pleasure to hear the old organs. Not to missed on a trip to Utrecht

Cool museum with English and Dutch explanations and the old organs still work. They are played live to guests. Really nice staff.

Very original museum with all kinds of mechanical musical instruments on display. Be sure to take the (free) guided tour though: the musical boxes and street organs are best appreciated when operated live.

Also a very nice place for a quick lunch or a nice cup of coffee.

Be sure to create a music sheet using a whole puncher that can run through a manual musical box. It's located on the top floor.

I was there in June and there was not many people, but enough to have a guided tour. I was the only one non-dutch speaking and the lady that guided us first told everyone everything in dutch and then she would especially translate it to english for me.
The museum itself is amazing and I would go there again with friends/family
    5/5!
