The room was in good condition and location was inside the airport which helped me out
Nice place.. muesuem bar restro MacD etc
Great solution for a morning flight from t3 at school! Clean comfortable and quiet. Compact and convenient. Shame there are no windows!
Checked in here on a layover from YYZ to BKK. What an absolute disaster. It started well enough with a decent but slow check-in service, with one agent helping multiple people checking in and out. Time is of essence here Mercure - we want to get into the room ASAP. The room was nice, functional, clean and dead quiet - we were happy and went to bed. Then the NOISE started - construction sounds of banging, drilling, and vibrations through the walls. I was so tired from the first flight, I ignored it for a couple of hours, not wanting to wake up and turn on the lights and disturb my wife and daughter. The noise continued. I called the front desk and the girl was apologetic - she said they could hear it too and they would try and ask the airport to stop construction as it was not planned. I went back to sleep trying to get a precious few hours in. I had paid full price for a 6hr stay. The noise never stopped. Front desk girl called and apologized again, telling me to talk to the manager when I checked out as she was leaving. As I checked out, I explained the situation to the manager. I was extremely polite and requested either a discount on the current stay of $170 or a discount for a future booking on the return leg. What an absolute waste of time. He listened and then brought out a stack of food coupons and gave me 2 worth a total of 20 euros. I was so shocked and disappointed at the level of service offered, we left without a word. If an establishment cannot offer the basic services promised (in this case, peace and quiet and rest) then there should be consideration of a full refund. At least that's how it works in Canada and America. Shame Mercure! If you are going to go to the trouble to staff the hotel with a manager, at least train him on basic customer skills and the concept of delivering a quality experience.
Lovely though small rooms , comfy bed great shower , staff very friendly. No complaints .would stay again x
Good product for short overnight stay without having to leave airside
Super convenient, great staff, just make sure you bring your own food, it's very hard to find food at night at the Schipool airport
Room was not clean at all. Dust on surfaces, cobwebs on the ceiling, and toilet not cleaned properly. The rooms are small and have few amenities. It's expensive but there are no choices. The staff were courteous but not overly helpful.
Clean hotel, 2 ppl bed is pretty much 2 single bed join together.
Don't expect free amenities, everything cost other than the one in your room. No free breakfast either. Receptionist was nice and friendly.
Tips for those who don't have visa:
A great place for international fliers who doesn't have shangem visa to go out of the airport. It is located in terminal 3. Once you arrive, you Will have to go through a security check (items and belonging, not custom/immigration). If you go through those glass door, you won't be able to come back in "maybe".
Tips for ppl who have visa:
Airport is open 24 hours along with immigration. Make sure to bring hotel keycard, receipt, arrival and next next departure boarding pass, passport if you were to exit the airport.
