In summer, come before afternoon if you want to see city hall illuminated and come later in the day if you want to see church glowing actually, reserve a whole day to just chill on this square.

Nice open square in between the historic city hall and the Nieuwe Kerk. There is a big market every thursday morning where amongst all they have excellent Dutch cheese.

The most lively square I've known!Throughout the year there are numerous events taking place here, including concerts, orchestras, marches, fun parks, competitions, games. Also lovely when it's quite!
