Sketching and drawing has always been my passion since I was a young child. Unfortunately there was no possibility for me to go to the Academy of Art after finishing High school. When I started working and having a family, I didn't give much attention to this passion anymore. Until....after a few years, I started to miss it too much. So I simply started to paint and draw pictures again and tried to see it as a daily activity in my life. I learned to use several techniques myself and also took painting lessons for several years.
The latest drawings are made with fineliners and coloured drawing pencils.I used several 'zentangle'-techniques. The repetitive patterns in 'zentangles' can bring the artist in a kind of meditative state. It's also called 'yoga for the brain' and everyone can learn this! Not the endproduct is the goal when making a zentangle, but the proces while you're drawing it. So there is no big plan when starting a zentangle, you just start drawing and see how it goes, lots of working with your intuition. Each piece is showing it's own fantasy-atmosphere, sometimes maybe trying to tell you a story. What story that exactly is? I'm not gonna tell you. I used my imagination to draw you a picture, you use yours for the story behind it.
