Ideally spotted in the downtown surrounded by few pubs, restaurants. Beautiful downtown car free place.

Amazing location and staff. Like I've said before when you are in the Netherlands the second time and got Amsterdam out of your system then visit places like Amersfoort and this hotel. You will be overlooking a market square from the 1200's from the oldest building in Amersfoort. @Koen Ferny best you understand the people of the Netherlands before you down rate an amazing location such as this. The noise you mention on Friday - Saturday is known as atmosphere and you got to watch a Market setup that goes back centuries. I love this place and if you are lucky enough to spend a night in De Gaaper you have lived history you have connected with your past without having to visit a Museum.

Erg leuk hotel in historische sfeer!
Goed ontbijt , ruime kamer , zeer vriendelijk en meedenkend personeel , lekkere bedden en oordopjes voor de nachtrust en die heb je wel nodig s nachts

This hotel is centrally situated in Amersfoort. It is the oldest building in Amersfoort, but despite this the rooms have air conditioning. The hotel overlooks a square which is surrounded by bars and restaurants. The night life is great with the square turning into a giant seating area at night. The hotel is clean and tidy. Breakfasts are great, offering a choice of cooked, breads, cheeses, meats and cereals.

De bediening is geweldig. De kamers zijn dik in orde. Het is mooi gelegen en een lekker klassiek ontbijtje. Ik sliep wel aan de kant van het plein. Hier is veel nachtlawaai en vrijdag en zaterdag al van zeer vroeg opbouw van de markt. Ik heb dus tweemaal slecht geslapen daarom twee sterren, anders wel drie.

Goed hotel in historisch pand. Oudste pand van Amersfoort naar men zegt. Lekker geslapen, en super goed ontbeten

Great staff, clean room. There is no 24 hours reception but you have your own key for the main gate. I have not seen disabled access.
