I didn't like the shower and the room was plain but the grounds and wildlife are super deluxe. Traditional old school service.really good. I will stay here again. The breakfast does not have a lot of choice but everything is delicious.

A great discovery, timed as back as 1671 this hotel has quite a history behind it. Located in a wonderful scenic place just outside Appingedam i stayed there there for just one night. Room was very clean, spacious and the bathroom was alot better than expected. Had a little trouble with the bed but am guessing this was just me trying to get used to somewhere else other than my bed. Staff was really friendly, breakfast quite filling and lunch was very good. I was also amazed to see that it is well reccomended by Michellin stars. There is a huge forest behind the hotel where you can easily walk and enjoy the view.

Ik was daar voor een trouwerij, erg gezellig en alles goed geregeld. Mooie locatie, vriendelijk personeel.

Het is een bijzondere locatie. Lekker eten. Alleen de verlichting vind ik te vel. Niet echt een restaurant om romantisch uit eten te gaan. Misschien wel voor de 60 plussers die altijd graag veel licht willen hebben.
