Great presentation of the dishes, but the taste was no more than OK for my taste. Was a bit flat. Great selection of wines.

Great atmosphere, especially the garden is lovely. But most important the food is outstanding! Have been here already a couple of times and every time I had a great dinner. Service is also very good.

For our weekly date night, La Stanza was a pleasant surprise. Being that construction is taking place right in front of the door, you have no clue that you are going to walk into this lovely quaint restaurant. We were given one of the two best tables in the house during the winter months, downstairs (I knowtrust me we thought the same thing) by window looking into their lighted terrace space.
We recently moved to The Netherlands, and have learned that this city has some amazing reastuarants. La Stanza was no different. As a participant in Nationale Restaurant Week, the restaurant offered a "Chef's Surprise" 3- or 4-course dinner with wine pairings. They could not have paired the wine any better with the selected dishes. The only complaint that I had was that the servers didn't explain each of dishes as they were brought out, and we always had to ask them to explain. Thank goodness they did ask if we had any food allergies before serving us anything. I must give credit to our waitress, she was very good about explaining the wine pairing.
Minus that minor hiccup, I am really looking forward to another wonderful dining experience at La Stanza.response / report this review -

We ordered their 7 course dinner, and had the most memorable meal.. Delicious, interesting and wow. Will never forget the cow's brains :D
