The 19 windmills here were used for pumping water out of the land. In other areas they were also used to grind grain with windpower.

Очень красивое место. Обязательно для посещения!Мельницы, каналы, лошадки! Лучше взять напрокат велик прям на входе. Депозит 25€, час - 3€

Park your car at Molenkade for a less touristic route and walk to the bridge for the best shot over the water with the windmills

Rent a bike, go all the way through the mills, visit the museum and have a picnic. You can easily come from rotterdam by boat
