Pretty great except you don't get to actually stay in the castle itself but in a building across the street.

Bijzonder kasteel, er zijn binnen verschillende trouw-, feest- en vergaderruimtes. De oude vloeren plafonds en deuren zitten er nog in. Leuk voor mensen die van historische plekken houden.

Goede keuken. Mooie ruime kamer. Wel is de kamer buiten het kasteel 1 straat verder. Zo lang het droog is is dat niet hinderlijk

Evry one can see that great castle for free. Architektur is small change to hotel but steel have magic for my.

My husband and I stayed for a weekend at Coevorden, a small but picturesque town in the province of Drenthe. We chose Kasteel Coevorden - Hotel de Vlijt and had a pleasant stay. The hotel is situated in a converted warehouse and everything looks modern. Breakfast is served at the castle and is good. The room we had was very comfortable and had a nice view of the bridge over the water; on the min side, I have to say the windows don't open all the way (thanks to a bad fix of the roll curtain) and it can get quite warm, especially during the summer, I can imagine.
Dinner at the castle restaurant was very nice and the atmosphere by the fireplace in the dining area was great.
All in all, we had a lovely stay and I would certainly recommend this hotel.response / report this review
