Congratulations to be the worst hostel I've ever been in my life. 7 beds in about 12m2 room. Just disgusting. This place should be forbidden and shut down.

The houserules are very strict and the shower is smelly! The bar instead is lovely. I liked the guestkitchen very much, even if it was impossible to cook with more than 4 people in there. The best part of this hostel is their chubby cat. He always visited our table, when he smelt our food.
The beach is 10 minutes away, the tram 5 minutes away. You can take tram 1 to Den Haag Centrum and visit the City of Den Haag. Tram 1 also gets you to the pier of Schevenigen.
Jorplace is the perfect place to discover Den Haag and for lovely beach holidays with your friends.response / report this review -

Fun atmosphere, bar in the hostel, comfortable beds. Seemed odd that they required a €20 deposit in exact cash, and beds we're pretty squeaky.

Yes, it's close to the beach, but the owner, Jordey, is an abusive drunk! The hostel itself unsafe because anybody can come in at any time of night, and there is no security or emergency numbers to call if there is a problem with strangers or other guests. After complaining about a situation where I was molested by another guest at night and nobody was there to help, a very drunk Jordey unnecessarily assaulted my boyfriend when we asked for our money back. This place should be avoided at all costs!

Good place to stay when you are a hippie or just need a place to crash for 1/2 nights. Rooms are small but hygenic. You get what you pay for

Clean sheets are given to you in the entry and beds are freshly clean. Overall cozy hostel in the Scheveningen.

We stayed overnight during the Halloween weekend. Apparently the hostel hosted a very loud party, which kept us awake until 2am. Even though we stayed on the top floor, we could still hear the party loud and clear. The cheap star earplugs that the hostel offered didn't help much. The rooms are also very noisy, so after the party finally ended we heard the partygoers go to bed. Furthermore, the interior design of the rooms was dull, reminding of a prison. I would not recommend this hostel to people who are looking for a good night's rest.

We booked a 2 bed room and got a 3 bed room (Bunk beds).
The room was really small and we found bedbugs in our beds! After leaving the hostel, we found out, that other guests found them before told that to the hostel, but they let the rooms anyway.
When we checked out one night earlier (after noticing the bedbugs), they didn't offer us a refund, like it should be in such a case. We had to ask to refund the last night and got it after they asked their boss.
No food is allowed in the bedrooms They have a fridge for the food in their public rooms. Sometimes there is no free space in that fridge.
The public rooms are nice designed and you can use a public kitchen. The shower we had was very small and old. There wasn't even space to keep your thinks dry if you take a shower.
The toilets are also not nice
The location of the hostel is very good. There is a supermarket next to the hostel and a lot of restaurants.response / report this review
