Nice old building (oldest hotel in Holland). Room was well equipped but hot (in October!), which meant I had to use the noisy air con unit. There was a funfair going on until 11pm outside my window in the town square, but I now understand it's a public holiday this week so I guess that's not there the rest of the time. Didn't eat in the restaurant but it looked nice. Breakfast was ok, nothing special, and quite expensive.

Well situated old Hotel with more charme from the outside than inside. Rooms are from average comfort and style whereas some are freshly renovated. Breakfast room is shabby, breakfast is below 4 stars rating.

Very good hotel. Comfortable rooms and well located. Have stayed several times. Very close to many restaurants. Close to the train station.

Really nice hotel in the middle of town. The staff were very accommodating. Breakfast was pretty good and the room was big with a nice bathroom. The shower was good and the bed was comfortable.

At first let me underline that this review is not covering the entire hotel, but only what I can describe from my room impression. But given the fact that my room is classified as a "superior" suite, I really expected some things differently. At first, the view. The window goes onto a backyard with a bottle bank which is used until the late evening with noisy breaking glass. It sounds like the glass is breaking directly inside the room. Then there is obviously no chance to open up the window to let in fresh air, especially the room has no air conditioning!! The desk chair has a blurry coat, I don't know if I would enjoy sitting down on it as the position and shape of the blur does not look hygienic if you understand what I mean.. In addition to that I needed to find out to my special surprise that the TV only offers one single bloody TV station in my German mother tongue, and is not even offering a HDMI port to connect at least my Raspberry Pi LibreElec Media Center. The style of the room interior is a question of individual taste, I personally prefer a different one, but I won't judge this fact. But for me personally, there is no real justification for taking over 200 Euros per night without breakfast for a room like that and calling it "superior". Maybe you are more lucky with one of the cheaper categories, but I would not book this room again. In general, the Hotel is located in the center of the city at a really nice spot, what I also don't want to forget, despite of my personal disappointment about the individual room quality. You also absolutely need to try the Pizza in Ristorante La Grotta directly beneath the Hotel.

This is apparently the oldest hotel in Europe. It's nice but a bit restricted due to its age. Our room is hard to find as its a bit of a rabbit warren. Our room stinks of cigarettes. When we arrived all the windows were open and a fan was blowing. When we got back after a meal, we found out why. It's pretty bad. The rooms are spacious, and the facilities are very good for the price. I would come back for sure. I'd ask to see the room first though. I think we got unlucky with the previous guests and high occupancy.

This is located on the old town square in Bergen op Zoom. The staff and management make the guest feel welcomed from care in room details and restaurant to local tourism.
