Het Paleis is a lovely location near the city centre of Groningen to hold lectures for audiences up to a 120 people. Staff is nice, the Erlenmeyer auditorium is very beautiful, but the chairs are absolutely horrible.

The room we were attending a lecture and a pubquiz was the right size, the lighting was good as well as the acoustics. We used foldable chairs that were very sturdy and the bar was fine. They didn't have my favourite drink but enough alternatives. The ambiance was suiting for the purpose of the room.

Nice place, good food, staff often seems a bit distracted and can take a while to take and bring orders.
