Great nice place for a tour. Great museum of war, nice antiques. The sea museum was awesome, the smell of the sea was great. Paid 8 eur a piece. Hated: no discount for students and no english translation, just Dutch writting. The place is also nice to walk to, thru the seaside.
Very nice adventures place for adults & kids. There are bunkers.. tunnels and a nice aquarium.
It's in a beautiful location, carries a long interesting history
Fort Kijkduin is a great museum which shows its importance of defence in the past. It tells you Dutch history. This is one great museum which one should never miss. Though it is in the west of Den Helder, it will take 30 min. to walk from train station Den Helder. I advise you to walk here because you can enjoy watching horses, sheep and lighthouse on the way. You can also come by bus 851 which will leave train station once per hour. The museum has weapons, military stuff, military model tanks and planes, documentary film, aquarium, etc to show you. The sole toilet is right in front of the cashier. After you buy the entry ticket, turn your head back and you will see it. All the other toilets in the museum are locked.
A nice fort. A lot to see. The only problem with this museum is that everything explained is only in dutch language . they should make that much effort for tourists to translate also to english (at least, if not also to german) that was a bit disappointing.
Don't really like war museums but this one is okay. Adding an aquarium is a nice touch.
Cool met halloween!
Beautifully located fortress from the 19th century commisioned by Napoleon. Here is also an Aquarium with fishes from the Northsea.
Very nice view from this place, good pokemon place and the museum is very nice to go into as well. A little marine aquatic life view in short, all this in an old WWII fort.
I found it a bit neglected. Nevertheless the overall experience is nice.
Set in the most beautiful area of Den Helder. It is work checking out
