Amersfoort zoo is an ideal zoo for families. Not only can we see animals, but the zoo has made it so that children can see the animals from another angle than just through a glass wall, by having interactive routes built around the enclosure. A lot of playing areas for children as well, making each visit fun.
Cool place, a nice walk through beautiful nature. It's a good sized zoo, not too big but not too small either, enough cool animals to see. A bit too overdone with the dinosaur section, a zoo is for living animals, not a theme-park. The coffee/food areas can also be a bit better looking, they look unorganized and ugly designed. Overall is great for kids obviously!
Really nice zoo as zoos go. Lots of trees, animals seem to be well treated and have some room. There was a walk through area where the bigger birds like vultures could fly around you. Very busy though.
Amazing zoo to go to with kids of all ages. Our two year old thoroughly enjoyed it and the whole park is aimed at and setup for kids. All enclosures have great viewing areas with glass so you can really get close to the animals. Definitely recommend visiting this zoo if youre in the area.
Nice zoo with a big playground for the kids. Some of the cages are a bit small but overall not too bad.
Only downside is the service at the restaurants. You're paying too much for average stuff (even with the discount you get with a subscription). We once had to wait 30 minutes to get our drinks while it wasn't busy at all.
Lovely zoo with all the animals you like to see in a proper zoo. Not as big as some zoos, but that's a plus in my opinion. We went with our boys of 4 and 2 years old and they both loved it. I guess that's the best way to rate a zoo! 😁 It wasn't busy at all on a Wednesday in May and we found a day was just long enough to go around the whole place. Maybe it's not as entertaining for older kids, but for the little ones it's great. There are lots of little tunnels and pathways and slides ect. around to keep them excited.
Leuke dierentuin met veel sfeer, je loopt door een omgeving en niet gewoon langs een paar hokken. Mooi opgezet, veel moeite besteed aan het natuurlijk maken van de verblijven.
The park was good but several places were closed to the public like the Gorilla area yet they charged full price. Kind of left a sour taste in my mouth.
Beautiful animals, nice location. Was a little bit deserted as we went in the middle of winter but I'm definitely coming back again when it's better weather.
My toddler is having a great time, so that's all I need. For adults, there are many cafes with good coffee and food options for reasonable prices. Free Wi-Fi is provided throughout the whole park. Will be definitely coming back.
I absolutely love this zoo as did my 5 year old, it's not often you get to walk along a rope bridge over a bear pit, or stand in a glass box in a Hyena enclosure.. Almost every animal habitat has a children's slide, bridge or climbing frame attached so no problems keeping little people entertained. Food at the cafe was excellent with a good choice of hot and cold items, but was a bit pricey as most zoos are. A taxi from Amersfoort centre cost us about 15 euros.
