  The people working there are in my opinion amazing.

  We heard about this place as a new restaurant that serves food of a higher standard but for an honest price and that was very much true! Some of the remarks in other reviews weren’t true for us last night - Our QR codes were scanned at the door, the waiter was attentive and we got our drinks and food on time without having to wait long at all! There was a minor hiccup with the amount of menus because they didn’t have enough food menus yet but that was more funny than problematic and once we ordered, we got delicious food with very special flavours and the portions were really generous for the price. We sat next to the kitchen and we could see what the chefs were doing which was great bc we got to see how they were preparing the food, and this made for some inspiring entertainment. Overall we had a very pleasant evening and it’s definitely a great add to the area!

  Such a gret place! Finally something different in Haarlem. An international menu, really good wines, changing menu and local ingredients.
  Good to have a restaurant like this in Haarlem North, where there is almost not a place to have dinner. The staff was lovely and the atmosphere was cozy. Will come back! :-)

  - Nobody checked our Corona QR code (it's very crowded as you're sitting elbow to elbow with the neighboring tables).
  - Had to wait 20 minutes to get a menu, 1 hour to get some food. The couple sitting at the table next to ours told us when we were trying to catch the waiter's attention "Patience, patience". They looked very annoyed with the long wait.
  - Many items on the menu were sold out, severely limiting what we could choose. I saw the waiter going to other tables asking them to change their choice as what they had ordered was sold out.
  - The restaurant markets itself as "tapas", but with the average price around 12-13 euro it's more of a rip-off, and it's too small and difficult to share conveniently. The quality of the food is good, but when you pay 13 euro for what is three tablespoons of tomato and onions with one overcooked ring of squid cut into small pieces it feels like they are just being cheap. For the other dishes the portions were also extremely small, half of what you'd expect them to be for the price.
  - Left the restaurant hungry, ended up having to eat something when I went back home after dinner.
  
  It's a pity because I really was hoping to have a nice neighborhood place I could rely on as Kleverpark doesn't have any, but that just isn't the case. Deplanu is overpriced and just not worth it and we won't be going back.
