The layout of the restaurant is not the most cozy one I've ever been at as you sit in kind of a large and open space. Other Michelin restaurants had a more personal and secluded experience which allowed you to close yourself of and really enjoy the meal experience. That said, the food was without a doubt the most phenomenal dinner I've ever had and our Somme Sebas was incredibly friendly and helpful and his personal but professional attitude was a delightful extra touch to the whole experience.
We were hoping to stay and have dinner. Rooms available, but no availability for the restaurant. Other Michelin hotel/restaurant combinations we have visited ensure that there is always availability in the restaurant for hotel guests. A shame as we miss out on the experience, and they miss out on a room booking.
after hearing many stories about how amazing the food is here, we were definitely disappointed in the what we were served. the dishes were all decorated well and the food was good, but it just didn't live up to what we expected a 3 star michelin restaurant would serve.
It was ten years since my last visit to what in my view is one of the best restaurants in The Netherlands. They have moved to a new location, a former prison and have added a hotel to the restaurant. The 7 course set menu is a great introduction into the best Dutch cuisine has to offer. The taste of the dishes is fantastic and the choice of local seasonal ingredients is very creative. The staff are very attentive and provide warm personal service. Great stock of wines selected by one of Hollands best sommeliers. Do reserve ahead as this restaurant is sold out far in advance.
the food was lovely of course nothing bad to say about that (just not enough to be satisfied so we ordered bread twice) but I would like to touch on a couple things that annoyed me, when we arrived there was this awful heavy scent at the entrance and the people working in the restaurant were not so talkative when we asked questions and were very hectic at the beginning of the evening which I can understand because it was very busy and towards the end they did relax a bit more but it didn't feel nice in the beginning and since the owner always talks about how important atmosphere is while dining I wanted to touch on that a little bit but apart from those things we definitely had a lovely evening.
Cooking event at Librije's Atelier. 4 course dinner under guidance of great hosts and chefs. Not everyone is at the same level, but they organize it very well to make sure guidance is given where needed so that in the end everyone enjoys the experience as well as great food.
One of the best and most memorable dining experiences ever. Every single flavor is on point, every wine pairing perfect, service impeccable. 10/10
One of the best culinary experiences we ever had.
One of the best dining experiences in Europe. Food was mostly well executed with interesting flavor combinations, and service was top notch. The chef Jonnie Boer and the wife sommelier Therese was very much present in the dining room, which is a rarity nowadays. Best to be coupled with an overnight stay at the lovely hotel that is a refurbished women's prison, plus the breakfast was also brilliant.
Superb. No more words needed.
Absolute top!
Delicious experimental food, welcoming atmosphere, professional and friendly front of house, well appointed rooms.
Best dinner experience i've ever had. Ordered 7 dishes and got 14. Every course was served with a perfect fitting whine. Everything was a 10 out of 10. 100% worth the money
Amazing food, fantastic staff, beautiful surroundings. Highly recommended!
