We stayed in the hotel for 1 night and arrived quite late but were warmly welcomed with a glass of prosecco in the bar. We booked a basic room but were upgraded to a better room on arrival. Not sure what type of room we were upgraded to but it was very clean, very cozy and very clean. The room had a waterside terrace which was wonderful.
The breakfast buffet was fantastic and had everything we wanted (many organic food options). The breakfast room was quiet and the service was quick and very friendly.
We rented a boat for a full day and asked for a picknick basket which included cookies, sandwiches, a small bottle of prosecco and some fruit. The boat itself was very clean, in perfect condition and turned out to be (marginally) faster than any other boat we saw during the entire day, which is always nice :). We received some information on how to work with the boat and a handy map which showed 4 boat routes. We took all 4 routes for a total of about 25km throughout the day and it was awesome!
The hotel itself is quite far from the Giethoorn center, but because we started our day-long boat trip from the small dock behind the hotel this was no issue for us. It's a 5min boat trip to the nearest boat route.
Overall, a great experience and would definitely recommend.

Had dinner on the way home to Amsterdam from the villeges. No English menus, and the staff really spoke poor English. Still, when the food arrived it was quite good, however the proportions was to small.

Seems to be a nice hotel. Only dropped off and picked up friends, had an coffee. Friendly staff, nice place!

We had lunch there, food was very good and the personnel very nice. They didn't have an english menù but they were able to translate for us.
