Once I discovered this place several years ago I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else and that's saying something. I've been to Amsterdam well over 30 times & counting. Clean facilities, & plenty of them. Shop on site. Bar serving drinks with occasional entertainment in the spring /summer season. Free to use hot plates for cooking. Tidy cabins & wagonettes. (heated in winter)
Stock up in town then chill!!!!
A very cool place to relax and meet other stoners!
I stayed already 3-times at this campsite. I think it's the best campsite in Amsterdam. The location is alright, the walk to the tram takes around 30 minutes (if you are not high it will take just 150 minutes). The offer also Cabins but you need to make a reservation in advance if it's high season. We stayed all the time in a tent. Even if it's full you can look for a spot and if you find a spot you can stay. It's pretty easy to meet people at this place but the noise level can be high sometimes. There is also a little supermarket on the campsite. The only thing what I didn't like, that I had to buy coins for the dirty showers. The toilets were dirty as well. But all in all, I would go here again!
My stay was at the beginning of Autumn, therefore can't say much for the high season. A camping place, compared to others established to maximize profit, couldn't do more for the well being of the campers.
The tent pitch is along the water sleeping and waking up with birds and ducks singing.
The staff is happy, friendly with their peers, and as a result they invite us to join their friendly family. The staff serve with pleasure without exception.
The site has many outlets such as Cafe, restaurant, bar. The quality of food and service is excellent, still their prises didn't force us to buy in outside supermarkets.
Amsterdam has many raining weeks so please pay attention if your tent is water proof.
In short, despite the continuous rain, I arrived smiling, and left smiling and making plans for the next time.
We're there for 3 days and no hot water in one of main shower blocks. Advised staff bit no change and no notices put up either. Shower blocks also had no heating. Tent sites very small and kitchen in open and very small especially considering size of camp. Seems main objective was to get people to eat at their cafe. However location easy for cycling into city and wifi good
Bit pricey for me. Over 50 euros for 2 nights with just 2 people. car and tent.
Can't park next to tent unless lucky to catch a spot when someone leaving as all tents are in the center.
Good facilities. Shop is well stocked .
Toilets and showers generally clean
The site is quite long throughout the night with the more younger people staying and smoking the green.
Staff helpful and tickets for buses and trams available at the reception which is the best way to access the city.
Awesome, been coming for years and finally got my wife and children over with me (2&8). They have thoroughly enjoyed the dam. Some of the pitches can be a bit tight if your caravan is larger than average.
I've been visiting Zeeburg for around 10 years now and have at least 1 visit per year. It's exciting every time I come and see what improvements and enhancements have been made, which are always well thought out and perfectly executed. Hell, I even came to visit one year and didn't even go to the city :)
I love it and can't wait to plan another trip to the 'Z'!!
Thanks to all the staff that always work so hard to keep everything good for us - we really really appreciate it.
A very good atmosphere and excellent staff. The bar is open until after midnight, and the superb city of Amsterdam not far away. Walk-able in fact.
Vibrant brilliant place. Lovely friendly staff. Relaxed festival vibe. Lovely location. Excellent salsa night and live music. Me and my family had a lovely time, although maybe not for the retired Camping and Caravanning crowd.
Great amenities, nice staff. Bit of a trip to get into Amsterdam Central though. About 15mins walk to the tram stop and about 20min tram ride. €7.50 for public transport for 24hrs. All round pretty nice campsite.
Stayed 6 nights in an eco cabin with my girlfriend. The room was perfect for this stay. The showers and toilets were absolutely okay. Friendly and helpful personal. Negative: way to the center is a little to long. But it is okay, if you use the Tram. Sinks in front of the toilets only supply cold water (but showers are warm enough :) )
They treat you like a child, limiting your shower time. Also, it is cold in the baths and they don't allow you to control the water temp; it is lukewarm. Also, the restaurant they advertise is open for 3 meals was only open for dinner. It felt like a kid's summer call, only next to a highway and without all the fun stuff. Also, reception does not open until 8:30 do if you want to check out early, too bad. And they keep your id art reception until checkout, like a jail, so you can't just drop off your keyand go.
I want to this place today to check out the facilities. I spoke to the not so nice lady in reception. I explained to her that we arrived late last nite in the Dam and my partner an I were shattered from the drive of nearly 500 miles so we stayed in a hotel for the nite. I said it's a nice place and that I may have a view friends that want to come and stay in the summer. She said we don't do groups and I said it's only a couple of camper vans and she started becoming ignorant and told us she didn't like the story I was telling and told us we couldn't stay at all. When I asked why she said she just didn't want us there. It had loads of vans like mine so I didn't see what the problem was. She was very rude and not very friendly. My advice is to stay clear of this place that lacks so much manners
Nice Campsite. Good facilities. Easy public transport access! Very clean! Just woke up one time with a duck in the front of our tent. It broke in, and couldn't get out agian, so it panicked! The rest is self explanitory! Cannot be taken out on the place though! 4 Stars because when I visited it was low season, so not all of the facilities were open, despite it being quite busy still.
