Very cool place. Service is not fast but it's part of the laid back package. Sometimes it's difficult to get a table.

Surprisingly huge cafe-restaurant in the middle of Amsterdam. The size in no way compromises quality of service and food. The view from the terrace-balcony is great.

Very busy cafe and popular with the locals. We sat on the small terrace outside which has nice views of the canals.
Good beer and wine served up with hummus and bread. Relaxing and atmospheric.

They have good collection of drink. I have mint tea. The glasses for beer are little bit small. The view is stunning.

Lovely view of the Amstel river and is part of a hotel as well. Nice looking both inside and out and they have patios on the ground floor as well as the first for you to sit outside. I would recommend the outside space for the views. We had salads and the orange smoothie- made with the sour milk- all delicious and very fresh food. Service is a little slow but on a warm summer day time doesn't really matter :) they also have a salad bar which is self service for parties that would like to wrap up quicker.

Favourite place by far. A classic that ensures time. The atmosphere is cosy with a very 60ies feel. Overlooking the canal. You can get great ice coffee as well.

We love this place. Whenever we're in Amsterdam we go here for breakfast. It's a little hidden from the street but has a wonderful place to sit on the edge of the canal or inside with a view in the winter.

Beautiful grand cafe with a good atmosphere. The perfect place to work with your laptop or read a newspaper. Weekend afternoons busy. The espresso is excellent. The restaurant upstairs is really mediocre though.

Great place to dinner or to lunch with a delightful view. It closes early (at 10:30pm), so it's preferable to go before 9pm. Excellent food and environment. The salmon is delicious. All dishes are served with salad. Regular waiter service.

I've been going here for years and I straight out love it. The food isn't lavish- but it is good. (Adore their goat cheese salad) and the view sitting outside is perfect.

They also serve Illy espresso which gives them bonus points in my book!

My favorite place for card games or business meetings. Cosy atmosphere, great terrass by the water, a bit hidden. A real treasure.

I love this place for an outdoor terrace. It's just next to the water, gives a feeling like you're sitting somewhere in Italy. Just in the middle of Amsterdam with a view at an amazing bridge.

Nice big cafe popular with both tourists and locals. Nothing super fancy or special but also guaranteed to be not wrong. Tomato soup is good.

We stopped here with a tour group and they seated us in an upstairs banquet room. The table was a single large dining table and we all sat around it. They had a special party menu for us so they could more expediently serve the such a large group. The main courses were chosen from the menu, but the sides were all served family style. The food was great and the staff was even better. I wish we would have had time to stop in here again.
