Possibly one of the best ribs places ever. At least, one of the very best in Amsterdam.
Most likely you'll need to wait a while and they don't accept reservations, so you will have the choice to wait having a drink in the bar just across the street.
One tip: regular ribs are more tender than the smoked ones, that are saltier.

Staff is very generous, funny and thoughtful.
Food ia wonderful! Tasty, filling, tender. Simply yummy. Definitely worth the money and the wait!

In this restaurant you will find incredibly delicious meat meals. Smoked ribs as well as (well done) lamb chops were extremely amazing. You will (probably) have to wait for a table a little while but don't be discouraged, it's worth everything!

This place is very small and we couldn't get a seat for the first day. Was well worth the wait. The ribs were succulent and meat literally fell off the bones. Portions are big, most meat is served with French bread, salad and two sauces. The staff are really friendly and up for a laugh. Well worth a visit even if you have to wait

Definitely a casual place for meat lovers! Be aware of the big portion of each dish. It is very crowded. We were with 6 people and luckily found a table. Very friendly and nice staff!

My god, I love the Klos. My dad introduced me to it when he lived in Amsterdam in the early 2000s. Ever since then I make a point of returning whenever I come back to Europe (I live in Taiwan), even though I'm typically visiting family and friends in Scotland. What can I say about it? Simply the best steaks I've ever eaten, cooked perfectly every time. Insane servings of ribs too, and delicious baked potatoes. All in a unique, dimly-lit atmosphere. I wish I could give it more stars

This place was recommended to us not once by many people so we went there around 6 pm to dine. The place is crowded, so I'd recommend coming early, at the time we went, we were lucky to be seated quickly outside (taking a chance with the weather), otherwise it would take them 45 minutes to seat us inside.
The staff was very friendly and professional, their interaction with us made our experience much more funny and pleasant.
The chicken filet and sirloin steak we had were delivered pretty fast, along with a potato filled with melted seasoned butter a fresh baguette, salad and sauces. Everything was cooked to perfection and our whole experience was great.
The price is very fair, please note that a 5% are added if you pay with a card, so consider bringing cash to pay with, if it sounds like an issue. Normally I believe a person will pay there between 25 to 35 euros.

Great for party of 1 or 2. Takes longer if there's 4 to be seated. Counter best seats. Staff engaging, polite, sense of humor.

Skip the bread, focus on mains and salad. Baked potatoes not necessary unless you still not full after the large portions.

Wish I could give more than 5 stars. Went here with a group of 10 for a Stag and the staff couldn't have been more friendly or accommodating. The ribs were probably the best I've ever had, especially the standard rather than the smoked. Excellent meal and service, couldn't recommend it more. Will definitely be back next time I'm over

Small cozy place. Ribs were pretty good. I gave it a 5 because the service was great too. Expect a 30 mins wait at least.

Quite simply the best ribs I've ever had. Sorry Texas, sorry Louisiana, this place wins. Shared one portion of spare ribs and portion of mixed. That way you get mostly spare ribs, but get to sample the smoked too. Oh and don't worry about the wait, the bar across the road is friendly and serves great beer.

For sure, there will be queues during dinner time. The staff will direct you to a near bar which you can enjoy local beers. Food is okay and comes in very large portion (at least for me) and the staff serve in their own 'unique' way. A great dining experience overall.

If you're in Amsterdam, do yourself a favor and go to this restaurant! The ribs were amazing! So good in fact, that my husband and I actually made two trips to this restaurant during our 4-day stay in Amsterdam. The restaurant is small and they don't take reservations, but there is a cozy, fun bar across the street in which you can wait and the staff from Cafe De Klos come and get you when your seating is ready. The bartenders are attentive and friendly (they actually remembered my husband's name when we went back our second time!). We would DEFINITELY go back.

How to explain Cafe De Klos?
It's a problematic place to dine, due the waiting for a table because they don't accept reservations and they don't needed them. Perfectly understandable.
The food is unbelievable. The classic spare-ribs one are my one favourite of the restaurant. The service was better but they really try to give you an unforgettable experience, which you appreciate a lot.

    So, summarizing:
*Be ready to wait for more than an hour, having a drink, for a table.
*The quality depends on who is in the kitchen, the best that we've got was in week days.
*Ask for the super spicy sauce. And keep asking about it. Not Tabasco!! The super spicy sauce.!!!

ps: Where is the super spicy criminal sauce guys???Bring it back to Cafe De Klos!!!
