Great outing for kids with lots of interesting exhibits related to history. Can take up a nearly a whole day here. Excellent actors with lots of great craft activities for kids. Would especially recommend the knights jousting, was amazing to experience. Only negative was one actor was quite rude to our small daughter.

We really enjoyed our day out with the kids here, so much to see , as well as the work shops ( baking bread, making candles etc), as well as the shows. We could also enter with our museum card. We will definitely return soon!!

great place to spend an educational and very fun day. prehistoric, roman and medieval villages are nicely placed together. Many period appropriately dressed volunteers provide the educational opportunities while the great playground and many hands on activities virtually guarantee the fun part.

Great historic attraction park with four themes from Dutch history: hunter-gatherers, early farmers and bronze age, Romans and middle ages.
The park is very hands on. You can join in activities and there is a host of craftsmen that will provide entertainment or are ready to answer questions. The team is really dedicated to creating an accurate historic perspective.

In August, there is a small group of historical recreationists who portray a Roman legion. They do shows and fire Roman siege engines. Spectacular!

I first visited this place during a school trip when i was about 9 or 10 years old and i guess those memories are the reason i was disappointed. The setting is nice, numerous buildings with all kinds of crafts and some staff in those houses crafting stuff or entertaining children. What i missed was the acting skills and friendliness of the staff. I remembered staff being in role, acting like they did not know anything of this time and being enthousiastic about telling what their role is. The gladiator fight was very good, so I can recommend it. Overall its a fun experience, but don't expect too much of the staff.

Great place, especially all the enthusiastic hosts with their stories and knowledge. And the gladiator show. Loved it!

That's a perfect place for kids who speak Dutch. However, this place is less exciting for the grown-ups. Also, it's quite expensive for the services that you get.
