Nice place but not as a neighbor. As a local I lived right next to it for almost 10 years (at the czaar peterstraat), and Roest visitors make a lot of noise at night. I moved to a quiet street in Amsterdam Noord but now the owners of Roest want to start a big venue in my new, very quiet, rustique neighborhood. Not good. They want to turn the whole of Amsterdam into a hipster version of Disneyworld.
Nice drinks and snacks after a long boattrip 🌞🌞
Loved it. Trendy environment, lots of outdoor seating, and a shuffleboard table 🤷♂️
Still an amazing place even after the construction that ruined the old place next to Roast, great service and friendly environment I totally recommend this for anyone that wants to chill and eat
Very cool place with a chilled environment but I went on a very busy night and couldn't experiment their amazing concept of silent disco. They basically give you headphones with 3 different "stations" to choose and everyone just jams on their own. Very cool to see all those people dancing with the LED lit headphones.
I go often to this place, kind service and good drinks, food perhaps less attractive. It's a place for all, young and less young, sometime families come over too with kids too although one would not expect that. Atmosphere is relaxed.
I normally don’t do bad reviews but I just payed €15 on a shrimp and sausage dish that came with only one shrimp and zero sausages. The dish also came with a lot of chicken but there is no chicken on the dish description on the menu. I took the dish back to the chicken thinking I got the wrong one, but they say it is correct
Great hangout especially in the summer. Have a made up beach with water access. Kind of alternative hippie place with recycled material like built. Rotating events, concerts etc.
Funky vibe, with amazing array of beers. The menu looks short, however the quality, flavour and generous portion sizes make you want to eat it all again. The interior is decorated with old TV sets, bicycle wheels and the couches are to die for.
Don't expect too much from the food, other than that is really great: nice atmosphere, great terrace and surroundings.
One of my favourite bars in Amsterdam! Very raw look, good varying beers and cocktails, and changing theme nights. In the summer there is also an outside terras to sit at near the water.
A sandy bar on the canal edge in an old industrial warehouse Really great atmosphere and seating. Snack options available as a DIY stand. Perfect for summer!
One of Amsterdam's best kept secrets. We went on a Sunday when the weather was beautiful and there was plenty of space. Delicious food, great drinks and good vibes
A great place to grab something to eat and have a meal. We shared a vegetable festival platter and it was amazing! Also a good option for vegans/vegetarians. The atmosphere is also great, with a DJ playing music and loads of picnic tables outside perfect for a summer night out.
Nice place to chill after touring the city. A must visit if you're you're staying near Zaar Peter.
Was here for a tribute for B.I.G. great build around the theme. Sadly the burger was not as tasty and got a burned bun. Place is a bit small when very crowded. This could be noticed when ordering drinks in one room.
The name Roest really says it all, the place looks at a rusted place.
One of the rooms even has a old double decker bus where you can sit in.
Amazing bar with a cool unique feel. It is a hidden gem and one of my favourite places in Amsterdam.
Cool place with nice music. A good spot for a drink and food. The snacks are not so good
In summer it is so nice to lay in the sand next to the canal, which people jump into for a swim!
It's the best in summer, just sit outside in the sand at the water, enjoy the bonfire In winter everyone's forced inside by the cold, and it get crowded.
I like the concept of getting your own beer from the fridge and quickly pay for it with a touch instead of having to ask for it from the bartenders all the time.
It's less touristy because of the little remote location.
