Stayed here for 2 nights, got bitten extensively by bed bugs! The hostel was filthy and the bathroom was disgusting as it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Rooms are very small and hot. No lockable storage. No common area. No laundry facilities. Breakfast was not in the building but around the corner at another hostel (jam toast and cold coffee). Only good things were the location was close to attractions and the staff were quite friendly.

BED BUGS! Please listen to the other reviews---- WORST HOSTEL EVER!!

My nephew and I were bitten and I had over 40 bites. I've emailed them for compensation with proof TWICE and no reply or acknowledgement in 48 hours.

Hostel staff were friendly but Rooms were damp and full of condensation.

Location is good, but it's one of the dirtiest hostels I stayed at. Not clean at all.

The lobby is upstairs no elevators. Steep winding stairs, the lobby attendant was friendly and the bed was clean. Large shared bathroom. Very close to Van Gogh museum

Location is good, the staff is very helpful and friendly. The thing with Amsterdam prices when it comes to a place to stay is that it always shifting, we where lucky and stayed for a reusable price.

Clean beds, toilet in the room so you only share with your roommates, the room was not to small.

The only thing I did't like is that if you want to cook, you can't, there is a fridge that you have to go to a different building (200 m away) to leave your stuff. There is only a microwave. But if you here for a short visit and will eat out anyway, this is reusable!

    You get what you pay.
Shover could have been better, rooms are small and could use few more power sockets, but it was really OK experience. Staff is nice.
Btw. You get a free breakfasts by booking, ask about it!

Very nice location, very poor quality. Very overpriced for the provided services.

It's almost criminal advertising this as a suitable place to stay. I've been to hostels but this had tiny unsecured beds, dangerous as it was against a wijdisu, crooked stairs and a callous attitude from most staff (one guy was nice).

Old cobwebs, very dusty, filthy bathroom. I understand that it's a hostel, but some minimal housekeeping would go far. I might not be a hostel type person, but I wouldn't recommend renting here. Best of luck!

My room was really tiny and kind of dirty, the bathroom was always filthy and wet because there was no bath mat. There is no trunk or locker in the rooms so if you have important belongings you have to keep it in a safe on the front desk. The location is good though, right next door to a great coffee shop called Rookies but i would not stay there again.

This hostel was great! Staff very friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic, restaurants and cafes all around. There is a bar down the way with very cheap beer.
My only complaint would be the lockers and security. There are no lockers. You can leave items/bags with the front desk and they give you a claim ticket. So that was OK but still made me a little uncomfortable.
My security concern was due to an "extra" person in our room. A person came in to claim a bed and one of the other guests said there was no more beds. The person got the front desk who came up, declared a bed free and left. The "owner" of that bed came back later and re-claimed that bed. Finally the guests who had previously stated all beds were taken claimed to move rooms "because the other on is empty". It was very odd and basically there was an unaccounted for person in our room throughout the day.
