The station has been completely restored until 2016. There are now many restaurants, snacks and shops. From the entrance before, you can take the IJ passage to reach the other side of the station and cross with the ferry to have another view of the city.
t's quite normal to want to travel safely with public transport. This is why they do everything possible to safeguard public safety and improve it where possible. .

Beautiful and historic. Orderly and neat. This the Central Train station where lot of tourists activities are also there.Well connected to all parts of Netherlands. The trains are superb.Near Amsterdam Central lots of offices and a variety of restaurent are there. Hub of activities. Lots of shops for shopping also there. Number of Canal cruises start and end here. Tram lines crisscross the front of the main entrance. This is a must visit place for any tourist coming to Netherlands. Beautiful place with canals and friendly and elegant people.Dogs are well looked after by the residents and we can see a number of breeds in and around this place. Lot of yatch s in the canal give us a grand look and the place is historic with the central building standing majestically.

Super efficient station, with so many links to metro, ferry, tram, bus, and Schiphol airport. get a bit busy at rush hour. The 'Play Me' piano is a nice surprise. Other countries could learn a lot from how public transport works in Amsterdam.

Amsterdam continues to be as the city of diamonds that means you won’t find any issues in finding the perfect ring for her. Besides that, the perfect spot can be anywhere in the city; near the bridges and canals to put that ring into good use.

Beautiful terminal station. A mix of modern and old. With a piano at the entrance. So big and complete.

New Second phase developed in most modern construction technology and very clean with large spaces. New tunnel for pedestrian and cyclist is very convenient. Crowded but we'll managed transport hub with Railway, Metro, Tram and Bus.

Dog gets in the elevator. Door closes. Door opens. It's another place. Surely this is a leap of faith for the dog. Like the holodeck on the Enterprise. Yet the dog shows no surprise. Equanimous, utterly nonplussed.

Almost flawless station. I've been here over a handful of time now throughout the years (in varying states of mind), and have found that it is easy enough to navigate. Whether a day trip to another city/town or to the airport everything is simple and straightforward. Quite a beautiful building on top of that!

Absolutely great place. Lots of different shops and friendly people. Most workers there speak fluent English helping out non Dutch speakers

Came here via Euro star back in England. The station inside is nice, and it was really easy and quick to get outside the station. When you get outside you truly get to see how stunning the architecture is.

Holy moly what chaos. Locals commuting plus a billion tourists like me make for a pretty crazy experience. Wish I had read up on tickets and whatnot before going so I could avoid the lines of people asking for guidance. Next time will be better for sure.

Excellent navigation, beautiful building and trains that depart on time. There are several options for a quick bite. Make sure you take the free ferry from the other side to see the city line from the water.

The best thing about this train station is THE PIANO!!! Loved seeing strangers playing together! You can also get lockers for yourself here if you have some luggage & you can`t carry it along with you in the city.
