I didn't stay the night, we went to an event hosted there. Very friendly staff and rather fancy facilities.

The room was nice but there was a problem with the water heater. So, many guests only had lukewarm water to shower with. After telling them that, the receptionist gave us a free upgrade to the deluxe room which was very nice! Also without hot water, but it was already late in the evening so they couldn't do anything about it until a mechanic came by. The next morning it was fixed though.

Very nice hotel. From the outside it looks like a castle and from the inside everything is modern. Big rooms with small seating area with small table and comfortable chairs in addition to a big working table. Big beds. Very quiet. Located just accross the train station.

Decent hotel opposite to Maastricht station. Rooms are small. It is clear that the rooms have been renovated recently. Despite this, the rooms look a bit dated and dark. I found the beds to be too soft to have a proper rest. The breakfast is decent, though nothing really special. The staff is polite and courteous.

Situated: Excellent, near public transport ( train bus, great connections)
Customer service: Excellent very friendly people!
Room: Great! of course you cant demand that everything is hightech, however they have free wifi and other services available.
Maintenance: we had always clean rooms

We were promised a double room, only to find out this was 'subject to availability'. Poorly signed room which involved going up and down two sets of stairs with all our luggage after a lift. Phone in the room was broken, shower switched constantly between hot and cold and no offer of an alternative room. Unimpressed, particularly for the price.

Nicely situated near train station and walking distance to town. Small rooms and bathrooms.

We have stayed at this hotel for the past 4 years and always found it very good, we have always been very eager to return to your hotel and recommended you to friends and family each year until this year.
We checked in 8/7/16 for 3 nights as usual. We upgraded to a suite this year for a bit of a treat, oh my god were we in for a disappointment.
We were given a key to a small dark room with 3 beds and not a lot of room to move so we asked to be moved. We were told that we had been given a family room and not a suite. We were given the key to a suite on the same floor(4th). There was a flight of stairs to the bedroom and bathroom which were steep and narrow, as pensioners we found them difficult. There was a big stain on the carpet at the top of the stairs that looked like it belonged down the toilet and the general decor was dull and not very clean. it looked like an overflow room.
We had to ask reception twice for a hairdryer and we had no bath products for the whole of our stay.
The shower sprayed over the side of the bath which we tried to stop but we were unable to so we ended up having to use the bath.
The bath mat got very wet as we had to soak up the water from the floor, when the room was cleaned the mat was put back down on the floor soaking wet and not replaced by a dry one.
The breakfast was absolute chaos, they had no staff to top things up or clear tables, everyone was standing around waiting for one thing or another.
We paid 1,107.18 euro which is a lot more than we normally pay for the room we have always had.
So come one Amrath Grand get your act together and lets get back to what we are used to.

    2 Very disappointed guests.
