Lastima que el Parroco cobra por llegar a rezar a la iglesia, cobro disfrazado de ofrenda el museo esta bien el cobro. Too bad that the Parish Priest charges for visiting the church to pray, the museum is ok to visit and pay but to enter the church!!

I was cornered in a room by what seemed to be a worker of the church a kid. He asked to see a tattoo I have on my chest and when I looked down he tried grabbing/moving my shirt to the side. I stormed out of there, looked behind me and he had his dick out and was jerking off staring at me. The priest who was sitting at the front seemed unfazed by everything. Complete horrid experience - stay away from here.

the precolombinan displays are somewhat thin. objects are uninteresting. English curatorial notes tell the history of Granada in fairly simple terms. the jewel of the collection are the paintings in the rear of the museum that feature the "Nieve" art movement and works by the Sandinistas. pretty sure I was overcharged ($6 US)

It is a very nice place to visit, as a museum is very well located. I recommend this place, there visitors can find some info about Nicaragua culture and religious. Enjoy it.

Yet another example of a museum which has embraced "let's screw the foreigners" mentality: I went with some fellow students and they sought to charge me 3,000% more (not 30 - not 300 - but 3,000% more!) to enter compared to my equal and equivalent colleagues (C150 v. C5). One should eschew such outrageousness and stand up to discrimination and unequal treatment in all its ugly forms. Of course, a private institution has every right to treat people in a discriminatory fashion, but such despicable behavior should be combatted in every way, shape, and form.

Granada's “San Francisco Convent” has a very nice collection of over a dozen Megalithic Monuments, some found by “Ephraim George Squier” in 1849.
The Convent also has a nice collection of Catholic statues dating from as far-back as the conquistadors from Spain.
Note;
Ephraim George Squier's book written in 1860 titled "Nicaragua" is available for FREE at Google-eBooks; Just do a Google-search for; “Ephraim George Squier's book*Nicaragua: its people, scenery, monuments, resources, condition, and Proposed Canal”
Ephraim George Squier's book includes one hundred original maps and illustrations.

El “Convento de San Francisco” en Granada, Nicaragua tiene un muy interesante colección, de más de una docena, de monumentos-megalíticos. Algunos fueron encontrado por “Ephraim George Squier” en 1849.
