Very well cooked vegetarian dishes, home made tea and friendly people (and friendly dogs).
Location and staff were excellent, however I found the food not that great. room for improvement.
Very nice, if a bit overpriced. Good location, above average vegetarian food, and friendly people. It would not be my first choice, but it provides variety if you are staying for more than a day!
The view is perfect to the lake and the Maderas volcano, little ranchitos by the water. Delicious fruit shakes. Food takes long time so don't be in a rush while stopping here. Take a swim totally worthy! )))
The first time I went I ordered the eggplant- it took almost 30 min and when it finally came there was a big crusty hair fried into the dish. I notified the waiter, who brought the cook, who was embarrassed and promptly took it back and remade it in about 10 minutes. It was fresh and simple but lacking in flavor. There was white rice on the side totally plain, and when I asked for sauce they just didn't have any. A good sauce would have brought the dish together. They did not make any attempt to compensate me for the hair experience, which I accepted being a tourist not very familiar with the area. A few days later I was with a group of new friends who all really wanted to go to this place and would not be deterred by my story of the hair, so I wound up going again. I ordered the bean soup and ate about half of it before discovering- you guessed it- ANOTHER HAIR in the soup. This time I just refused to pay and didn't ask for any more food. It's too bad they aren't more careful with something so important, because the restaurant is in a beautiful location and the bean soup and bread were pretty tasty until I got to the hair. Oh well.
Not 20 choices on the menu but we had 4 different plate and they were all delicious. Service was fast and profesionnal. We really enjoyed it. We had the day stew, the curry, the stir fry and the pasta with tomatoe and herbs sauce. They were all good and generous. Prices are good also.
Despite what you may have read, the food is not "too salt". Also, Brent Collins is absolutely a douche because the stew was badass. And I'm not even vegetarian! Have another one, Brent.
Nice staff, not a lot of options for food and food was ok
Food was too salt, the first time I didn't finish my plate while being in Nicaragua. They didn't have change from 20 dollars and would not come up with a solution so I left the dollars with them for the time being to go out to get some change. Later I found an ATM was like 200m up the road. A guy had left his keys on the table, I gave them to the staff. They saw how he was outside realising his keys were gone and they didn't say anything but just stood there grinning and waiting with what I call malicious pleasure. So not very nice food and a very unpleasant staff.
Price Great and the food was delicious
The food was savory and delicous. We had the eggplant, the stew and the pasta and it was all so good. The kids ate everything down and the plates were bare when they were picked up. The bathroom is beautiful and the whole place offers an interesting experience. All it lacks is some better lighting!
