Beautiful location, the beach is private and shared with the casa next-door. The yoga retreat is very private and could be very relaxing. They offer surf lessons on the private beach and they have a nice local restaurant with bar and a beach hut.
During turtle hatching season there’s a turtle sanctuary on the beach where the nightly basis they gather the eggs for hatching and then for releasing the totals when they’re ready.
This is the beach where survivor set up for the
Nicaragua season. The hut were members were voted off is still on the south end of the beach on top of the hill.
Beach basically to yourself. Great views. Great food. Chill place to get away and take in the beauty of Nicaraguan beachfront. Just far away enough from town to feel like you're away from it all but close enough to go grab dinner or a beer in town. Great coastline hiking along rocks of the shoreline where you can stroll over to playa yankee. Little secret coves to discover. Walk or horseback through the river mouth on the south side of the beach and maybe see some monkeys in the trees if you look up. Magical place!
Amazing location, dedicated staff and (almost) private beach.
The bungalows are super clean and the food was an everyday delight.
It's worth the 30-minute ride of dirt road from San Juan del Sur ;-)
Amazing place, surfing & turtles & relax
Such an amazing and tranquil place! I want to go back now!
Amazing time. The retreat is on the side of hill which means all rooms have views of the ocean. Short stairs to Private beach. Perfect for beginner to expert surfers. A super long beach where you feel safe crashingknee to chest deep for the first 50 meters. Great food, assortment of local and american food. Yoga, horse back riding, fishing, surf lessons all available at extra cost.
**Note: My gf and I took a work holiday, they had great wifi access, unlike some place who say they do..and you cant do your work. Job accomplished!
Can't say enough about this place and the people involved.
We stayed with a large group that fluctuated between 10 and 20 people over a three week period, and our experience was A+ from start to finish. Whether you're here to surf, practice yoga, fish, or simply relax in paradise - these guys are dialed in.
Tyson, the owner, truly has a take-care-of-the-people mentalityand by that, I'm referring to the locals. He pays well and it shows. The staff is friendly and accomodating, and let's be realby the end, these people were our friendsand great ones at that.
The staff includes Gonzalo, our director of activities and everything funManuel, our chef, who trained in a top restaurant in Vancouver and served us absolutely beautiful meals all week long Heyling, our super fun and awesome security guard Jimena, Manuel's right-hand girl in the kitchen and Kit, who is Tyson's stand-in when he leaves for a few days. Everyone was incredible and I can't thank these people enough for making our time at Costa Dulce unforgettable.
I'm slightly reluctant to leave this review, simply because I don't want the secret to get out and have this place blow up but Tyson and his staff deserve it. I miss Gonzalo already! Such great people.
Thanks again, guys. I'm sure the Petermann crew will be getting in touch soon to rebook for next year. Until then, cheers!
