Pleasantly surprised. We have not stayed here for years and would not have if not for a great deal for a group birthday. We have always enjoyed the facility but the food was barely edible. But this time, the food was actually pretty good. Roast beef last night that was super tender and a seafood pasta for lunch with lots of seafood. Rooms are clean and staff at the restaurant have been very attentive.

Awful, depressing. Smelly rooms. Cockroaches. Comforter stained. Yuk! Very spread out. The whole place needs a rehab. I have stayed in way better hotels in Nicaragua. The beach was pretty good and clean. Cleaner than my room.

Great hotel resort with very friendly staff. Stayed here for a week for a wedding and had such an amazing time. Rooms were large (bungalows) and clean. Bathrooms were also large and clean. Staff constantly refreshed the rooms and towels and the service everywhere else was perfect. Sadly the beach was heavily trashed from offshore pollution but there was plenty of beautiful sea glass to be found. The restaurant and buffet was always amazing and the pools were clean and always busy but never crowded. For the reception the shows were fun and the service never stopped. Drinks flow heavily here and that just made the experience all the more fun!

Went here for a family trip. We stayed in the villa rooms which were nice because we had privacy but we had A LOT of bugs inside the room we found 4 HUGE roaches and only stayed for two days. The Food and drinks were good and unlimited. They also have a really big pool with a bar located in the middle. Their customer service at the front desk was lacking the shuttles took forever to pick you up and also they took a long time to bring things to your rooms likeextra towels so be prepared to do some walking. The resort was overall nice the beach wasn’t crowded at all which was a good thing. They had atvs and horse back riding on the beach for a very good price. I recommend this place for a honeymoon you have a lot of privacy, good food, and activities. This resort would also be best for a weekend trip or even just a day trip. Bring bug spray!

It was fine. A bite over priced and staff I saw always seemed indifferent at best if not annoyed I was there. Perhaps they don't care to cater to American crowd, which would explain while there were very few Americans there. Which is no problem for me as we love an international crowd. Restaurant was a bit crazy with people pushing as if they had never seen a buffet. All said it's a nice resort, very beautiful. But I would not visit again. They have a private beach, but much trash was washed up on the beach and I never saw any staff walking through to pick any up

The buffet food in the morning and lunchtime could be better for the price they charge the day users. The food service staff is in dire need of training in guest services, most were rude and in a hurry to close up, they even started sweeping the floors while guests were still eating, big no, no for classy establishments. I'm rating 3 stars because everything else was up to par, for a 3 stars establishment that is

This so called hotel is a big joke The rooms are old and many of the AC units don't work and just give out hot even when we called the technician to fix it did nothing. The buffet is complete disaster with tasteless food. The night time entertainment is repetitive and very low budget. Over this "hotel" is complete joke would never go back.

BUSINESS/CONVENTION SERVICES. We just spent over $11,000.00 on a three day convention there. If I could give a half star I would.THE WORST customer service and facilities I have ever experienced. The first day when I arrived to my meeting rooms, NOTHING was ready and we were supposed to start in one hour. Each day I had to set up my own meeting rooms. The meeting rooms were horrible to start with. If I had not shown up early each day, all of our guests would have had to walk into a 95 degree hot room. Yes, I had to turn the AC on each day. No equipment. I mean NOTHING! Needed something as simple as an extra podium for our second room, could not get it. Needed enough tables and chairs for everyone, could not get them. On and on I worked myself up to a soaking sweat each morning getting the room ready. I thought that's why we paid them. I would NEVER recommend this place for a business convention or meeting. Horrible! Very disappointed to say the least. We'll be looking for another place next year.
But on a positive note, the place, outside meeting facilities, is really beautiful.response / report this review -

The rooms are old; the buffet is a joke of tasteless food; the drinks are even a bigger joke and the Liquor is watered down let’s not talk about the cleanliness. This used to be a great place; what happened? What a shame; beautiful location and structure that completely drops the ball on quality and customer service. We will DEFINITELY not go back.

Unbelievable this place don't have wifi even taxis have wifi.. They charge you for wifi every 24 hours.. Employees have no idea what they offering to you and can't give directions Sad but true.. If you ask something to one employee they are not friendly with you wtb

It's an all inclusive hotel with very nice premises. The place is very big with a nice pool and beachfront. You can eat all you want with no extra charge, although not the best quality and there is no free Wi-Fi (really? in 2017?).

Best trip we have taken. Long bus ride from the airport but Marco (our Air Transat guy) spoke the whole way about Nicaragua. Giving us the history & fun facts about Nicaragua The resort food is Just OK but the resort its self is just beautiful We're going back!

Friendly staff and beautiful gardens. However, I was unlucky with my room: there was a smell coming from the sewers coming through my shower drain, so every so often the bathroom smelled *horrible* even though no one went in.

Reserved 2 rooms for our family and got disrespected. First they cancel our reservation when we arrive and suggest a hotel that isn't even as good Then the lady working there decides to try to skip us so she wouldn't have to deal with us Worst service ever I went 2 times and had no problems this time is my last time I come here that was just too much and I highly don't recommend this place at all Not worth the money Food was the only thing that was okay but nothing else was

This place is over rated at best folks.
I'll tell you what you will love and you will hate:
You will love the lush tropical vegetation
You will hate the internet (so much)
You will love the beach (sorta, I mean its the beach what there to hate?)
You will hate the service (except for the waiters. oh and if you are a native prepare to get the impression that everyone working there in administration is better than you)
You will love the snack bar in the center of the pool
You will hate that the AC in the gondolas is not really AC
You will love that is all inclusive
You will hate that is all inclusive (you realize that you could have spent way less elsewhere and you probably would have gotten better service.
You are pretty much paying for the looks of the place and the "bragging rights")
in conclusion, its a neat place to visit once
(ever, just to say that you have been)
Consider instead MonkeyHut - Hotel Dario - Guacalito de la isla
Or just find a cool rustic spot in San Juan Del Sur (drive is a little longer, but you can spent a few days in there cause is really gorgeous)response / report this review -

After a week of missions in Nicaragua, we enjoyed our leisure day at the resort. We had a delicious breakfast on-site and spent the day exploring the beach, swimming in the pool, riding four-wheelers, and playing volleyball by the pool. The food was delicious, the facilities beautiful, and the service fantastic. It was the perfect way to end our trip, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a weekend of relaxation in Central America.
