Yaba College Of technology is located in the heart of yaba. It is has several building inside of it which includes banks, bursary office, faculty and departmental buildings, staff quarters, hostels, Administrative buildings, class rooms, mosque,shopping centres, restaurant and many more. The school environment is quiet and clean and has tared roads and security stands everywhere. Student of the school are calm and well dressed and behaved. The school has it sport stadium in its middle where sports activities which includes long tennis, football, volleyball, track and field events and many other sporting activities takes place. The school as two entrances into it and it is not too far from University of Lagos. It also has the tall Waec building directly in front of it and has yaba Marekt not too far from it. The school is not soo big but the land area are well managed.

It's one of the best rated polytechnics in Nigeria. It's a tertiary educational institution that award national diplomas in many technical fields, and other related disciplines.

Situated in Yaba, the defacto educational headquarters of Lagos State, students of these institution learn and live in close proximity to students of other schools in the neighborhood, and can easily enjoy the facilities and ambience provided by beehive of educational & related activities in the neighborhood.

The school boast of reputable alumni base.
Has a sporting complex, student hostel, staff quarters, a library complex, etc within the concise space it occupies.

Yaba College of Technology is a great school with an impressive pedigree. The school has churned out intellectuals over the years. Popularly known as YabaTech. Yaba College of Technology is structured into eight schools and thirty-four academic departments with a total of sixty-four accredited programmes, which cut across the ND, HND and Post-HND Levels. The college also offers certificate courses. Over the years maintenance has been neglected in this great institution, this is highly recommend.
Generally it’s a great school with good lecturers.

One of the institutes that makes Yaba a Knowledge Hub in Lagos. Yaba College of Technology is popular known as YabaTech. With a very functional Faculty of Art and Engineering. It has a big sport centre in the middle of the school. I drive through this school almost everyday from my office to cut the large traffic around Yaba Bus stop. The Institute is easily accessible. The landscape is not that big. The is a Zenith Bank Branch in the school, close to Faculty of Art. It also has a nursery, primary and Secondary School opposite the back gate. The front gate is just opposite WAEC office. To go through the main gate you have to come in through WAEC Bus stop. And for the back gate, YabaTech Bus stop. Incase you are around Yaba and you need a place to take Passport photograph and make photocopy, just find your way to YabaTech.
