You can buy whatever you need here, but the market is dirty and people who patronize this market often use their vehicles to block a reasonable part of the main road thereby causing traffic jams every now and then.

It's a cool place for food stuff shopping as well as others. It's very easy to locate just along the road. Not very okay though when it rains. The market is currently being reconstructed to have a storey building view from the previous design. This is intended to fenced structure kind of like the Chinese great walls. Traders selling in front of the market may be evicted soonest this year at the completion of the project. You can recharge your phones here also or make bulk purchase of call credits. Barbing saloons are within reach directly adjacent the market. Looking for chicken or grinding machines for your soup or local drinks such as kunu, Palp, millet etc, there are just along the road. The meat vendors are lined up in row outside although some of them can be found inside the main market. Looking for real spices or bulk buying of food items like in bags you need to see the main market. Oh yes, fish vendors always stationed in numbers in either opposite rows outside or straight rows inside on the gangway. Both smoked, dried or refrigerated fish are sold. Others include perishables such as tomatoes, pepper, vegetables, onions etc. You may be surprised to hear an Hausa man speaking Ibo or Ibo speaking Hausa just to convince a potential customer. You hear words like "my customer" and "ke in shor? in Ibo meaning what are you buying? " The traders easily presume strange young faces to be youth Corps' members hence treated differently. Don't be surprised to meet the very young among them as traders, it is part of the hustle for survival. One good thing I love about some of the traders is this customer - vendor relationship. You won't believe some give credit facilities to their known customers.
