The pitch is grass, which is very good. But it needs proper maintenance as its showing signs of poor maintenance or negligence.

U. J. Esuene Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Calabar, Nigeria. History. It is currently used mostly for football matches and this is the home stadium of Calabar Local football team. It is renowned for its neatness, though proper maintenance needs to be maintained to retain its standards. I have played here a couple of times, the sports shops are still spot on with good security and safety measures compliment this historic stadium.
