Went for a family wedding. Nice grounds and plenty space but the reception area was too hot. Probably some issues with the ac.

I was really impressed with the hotel visuals. Its a large edifice with good decor, appropriately sized rooms with running hot water. But this is the best bit of the hotel. Customer service is woeful. I stayed here on the 15 Feb 2018 to attend an event in the town as part of a group of 4 and thus required 2 rooms for 2 nights ( 1 large room and a smaller room. The smaller room had an issue withe airconditioning system which became unbearble on the second night of our stay and i requested for a room change. The request was granted and only to find that the new room had a similar issue. I raised this with the staff insisted that there wasnt anything wrong ubtil i insisted that they should check it out themselves. As it was quite a hot night it would have been unfiar to a paying customer to 'manage' as they had initially insisted bearing in mind the hotel policy is for the airconditioning in all rooms to come on at 8pm and go off at 2am!. My complaint was raised at 9pm and was stonewalled by uncooperative and ill trained staff for almost 2 hours. They ( 2 lady desk clerks) refused to put my guests in the other available rooms due to the cost difference unless i paid all or some of the difference - i actually had to pay up as it was getting quite late because they could not or refused to issue a refund so that my guests could find suitable accomodation for the night else where.
They even had the cheek to call me in my room the middle of the night requesting for additional sum to be paid henceforth
I was not impressed one bit by this attitude and suggest the owners train their staff to be more courteous to paying customers even in the most difficult and tricky situations or at least have access to the manager who can effectively deal with such mattersresponse / report this review -

Very horrible hotel I must say. No electricity.. Generator is turned on by 8pm (not regular) and turned off by 3am. I had a horrible experience. It doesn't deserve one star
