Neat nd safe place to visit.could be used for out door events
Nice place for event
Nice
2 stars because lastma caught me here. You better be sure of how to move before going there.
Very good place to have concerts.
Easy to navigate..
Crowded especially during THE EXPERIENCE so you have to very careful with your belongings.
But aside that it's a very nice place to have large crowd.
Nice bus station set up by the Lagos State Government. The tensile roof covering is unique and looks good giving the bus station an uncommon look. With this roof covering you are shielded from weather, at least, the ticket section is also interestiing as your routine to the buses have become very easy and smooth sailing.
Tafawa Balewa Square Cricket Oval was the venue for the ICC World Cup Africa "A" Qualifiers. Recently refurbished to international standards to host the qualifiers so things look pretty good. Could do better with public conveniences, but private arrangement was made during the tournament so all was good.
TBS parking lot offers commercial car parking service at 300 Naira per day. Though there are a few security officers patrolling the facility, cars are parked at owners risk. Overnight parking is also available at the facility.
In addition to the car parking space, there are a few business services on offer. There is dental service, and several legal firms available on the facility.
It also provides space for mass attendance events like concerts, and the annual Lagos trade fair.
Quite a popular space for events. Can comfortably take thousands of people, it has got at least four entrances/exits to avoid trampling and hurt. Popular for Lagos carnival close to mid year and the nondenominational gospel music show called the experience happening every first Friday of December. Security is usually very good but still be conscious of your personal effects.
A national treasure but not fully harnessed. The place I knew in the past used be a place to behold with lots of events that attracts a trendy crowd to host here for them to attend. It still maintains some quality features for which it's built but the government aren't generating as much income from it as it should be fully utilized
Serving three different purposes - large event place for religious and oolitical activities, bus station and also shops and offices. Beautifully renovated bus station. My main attraction is the sit out and beautiful and artistic white cover for rain and sunshine. The first time I was there after it was opened, my first thought was, this is a kind of place I see abroad and go taking pictures endlessly 😁..
The whole Tafawa Balewa square is wearing new look by day. Impressive
Great place for public events. The God Bless Nigeria Church Independence day Rally holds here and House on the rock sponsored worship event tagged Experience also holds here annually.
Besides these, other religious bodies host events at the square.
It is popular as the site where Nigeria was granted independence on October 1st 1960.
Great place to host a crowded event. I was there for The Experience 2017. I had a great time too.
Tarawa Balewa Square is an open place for public use. There are office suits built around it. Altogether, a good place to be.
A national Park. It's bounded by the former National Assembly & House of Reps. It also houses the the The Armed Forces remembrance arcade & the Independence tower.
This is one of the best spaces for crowd pulling events in Lagos. It's the ceremonial ground popularly know for the declaration of Independence in Nigeria. It was formerly known as Race course. It's got nice concrete floors. I particularly enjoyed skating there. I think it needs more trees- if you're coming for a daytime event here, bring your shades along.
TBS is beautiful these day after the installation of BRT. Busy both in the morning and evening after close of work. Lovely environment with access to almost anywhere on the Island. City Mall, chicken Republic I think and Museum center are also close by. TBS itself is a beautiful to behold especially during events. Kudos to the organization I'm charge of maintenance.
This is a beautiful stadium. The stadium is used for concerts, trade fare, trainings, shows and different sports.
All activities are always fun. Parking and security is okay
TBS. I love the white masked structures, they give birth to the culture
A very popular place in Lagos. 50,000 capacity according to Wikipedia. But I've seen it contain more than 600,000 people.
Old and getting dilapidated but the scenery is fantastic. There is lot of history here and you can feel relaxed anytime you are here
Nice venue. Ample parking. Nice ambience
More of a Landmark than anything. There's a popular BRT station here. A couple shows go down here as well.
TBS as it is fondly called is the place the Nigeria flag was hoisted on Independence day, October 1, 1960. Around this beautiful edifice we have offices, Shops and also around it is the High Court of Lagos, Defence House, BRT Bus station, Muson Center, City Mall, National Museum
It is a historical centre and a major landmark. Lots of memorable events are held here. Government should enhance the potentials of this place. The new boarding bay for BRT buses look lovely with sitting area for waiting passengers.
