Crazy area. Very notorious for traffic jam, indiscriminate street trading, blocked roads by taxis and buses, criminality by miscreants. Could pass as the craziest spot in PortHarcourt.
When you're here, be very vigilantl. Hold your bags very tightly. I'll advice you don't use your cell phone while you're there for whatever reason. If you're driving, keep your windows up and your doors locked. The presence of the police and traffic wardens don't mean nothing. You could still be robbed.
Stay safe.
Okoro as it is popularly called is one of are busiest junction in Port Harcourt city. One of the major landmark here is the gigantic Catholic church building. The traffic here is mad especially at the round about. Form this junction you can get a bus to Yenagoa, Oyo, Uyo, Warri and some other Cities.
Rumuigbo junctions is a very busy place with lots of popular landmarks like LG electronics office and Everyday supermarket adjacent to each other and a little walk in from the junction you will get to psychiatric hospital which the long road to rumuomoi is named after . Not forgeting the promise fast food still in the same psychiatric road just a stone throw from the junction. Amidst all the landmark the peculiar thing about the junction is the over flooded petty traders always crowding there . But it's a route you can take to almost everywhere in ikwere road and also links to aba road, nice place.
To a newbie in town, you may have to be extra careful. The junction is busy all day but extremely busy at mornings and evenings to night. Be very cautious of your belongings especially your phones, wallets and money.
To the rest of us is pretty normal.
Good road. Lead to almost everywhere. Steady availability of vehicles for movement. Nevertheless, the junction is hostile. Corrupt cops and 'money hungry' operatives impersonators. Constant traffic.
Public place, you definitely can't miss it. The traffic there is nothing to talk about, always crowded with people but one good thing about the place is, you can almost get anything you want from there, ranging from groceries to appliance and lots more.
It's a melting pot kind of place. With traffic coming from all directions. Be careful with your phone. It's a chaotic place because of the market there.
It's not so organized. There are sellers and beggars everywhere. There is no distinct pavement for pedestrians. But it's a commercial hub where you can purchase so many things easily.
A major junction where you can get stuck in traffic from anything from 5 minutes to hours depending on the day and the weather. That being said it has improved in recent weeks. Advisable to check in with traffic conditions on Google before attempting to drive through this area
Because is so relaxing and some how safety in terms of not hearing news of Rob be rings here and their
One of the busiest and clumsiest places in port Harcourt metropolis. It is a principal junction that intersects very major roads in port Harcourt city Nigeria and it's a wonder why there is no over head bridge at this junction.
The roads intersected are: East-west road, Ikwerre road and Airport road.
Some major features of this junction are:
Filled with local touts harassing vehicles and people.
Hold up is constant here in rush hour and normal hours.
Be very careful when at this junction
Wind up your windows and don't open it for people that would come begging you for money..
Night movement especially on foot is totally inadvisable.
I love busy places like rumuokoro soon there will be cross fly over here
Though bustling with Life, it also connects many places in portharcourt. Great place for the finest shopping centres
You can see everything you need
Lovely and very busy junction in the heart of Port Harcourt City. It provides access roads to so many parts in Port Harcourt. The roundabout is always busy even till late night!
This is one chaotic roundabout in the major point of entry or leaving Port Harcourt through the East West road, the market and transporters are the main issue at this junction. To be fair to Government and the Police, the place was brought back to sanity some months back, but because of lack of follow-up, the situation is bad again today, 5th of June 2017. We advocate for more attention to this area because of its huge socioeconomic and commercial potentials.
You have to be alert and agile due to stouts hanging around
Easy for all manner of transactions, banking, buying and selling inclusive.
