The library is a potpourri of various elements. Yes, it has a sort of park and that's where I visited.
A tour of the OOPL included features such as hills and valleys, benches, and a fascinating boat ride through a lake. Oh, and the long bamboo plantation would leave an everlasting nostalgic feeling with you.

The Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Libraryis a library owned by Chief Aremu Olusegun Obasanjo, the former President if Nigeria. It is a historic, tourist and academic centre established as a national archive for the preservation of documents and materials used by the President during his tenure as the president of Nigeria. The library is located at the heart of Abeokuta in Ogun State Nigeria.

Quite a resort blended with leisure like atmosphere in a museum like library that is sublime.showing a glimpse to our past as a nation through the eyes and years of a former President's collections. Really worth visiting

The Presidential Library is a well thought out and executed project to record Nigerian history. Forget the many ironies (eg ethical concerns about receiving donations for it while in office even though Baba's supposed incorruptibility was much touted), the audiovisual presentations were very good.
We did the full tour which cost 6000 naira per person and took us round the complex. We went on a Monday so we were practically the only paying guests there at the time, so the tour guides had enough time for us. The full tour took us around 3 hours to conclude although we were rather leisurely about it.
The arrival pavillion has well preserved items and the Bailley Bridge over the stream into the library is a great addition. Lovely artwork on glass hangs over the great staircase at the entrance of the library. There are four sections with intermittent presentations in conical displays by Baba himself.
Pictures and food are not allowed within the arrival pavillion and in the main library complex itself. Also there's no restaurant and the nearest place to get something to eat is at Oke Ilewo which means going back into town.
There is room for improvement though. We missed the turn-in on arrival because something as basic as a sign was not available. Also, the security waved us in rather than inform us on what to do (go to the tour guides section). There were a bit too many copies on display of documents rather than the originals which defeated the purpose of it being a library and shockingly: the book store was sparsely stocked. Obasanjo's most sought after book 'Nzeogwu' wasn't even available there. The fabric section wasn't inspiring either.
The tour guides were just ok. Obviously not students of history but could maybe be further trained. Some also need to tone down the sycophancy and allow visitors to form their own opinions of Baba from what is on display.
There's a lovely panoramic viewing rock at the back. The attendant had no change so we couldn't look through the binoculars. Cost is 200 naira. A recap on Abeokuta's history and points of interest from there would have been nice.
In all, it was money well spent and I am sure to be back. A huge improvement on the Onikan Museum, to be frank.response / report this review -

It that one big place in Abeokuta you'll not get tired of, wait I need to add "at night to that". All good with the space, the spots to relax and do whatever fun means to you, nice bars and yes it does keep open till night.
Hotel, Cinema and Bars that are literally on the Rock. You'll love the environment and you wouldn't get to power with the price of whatever you get there. Though you might bring yours along (yeah that's allowed).
