Market Women Initiative is a project of the Helping Lives Together Initiative. It is social impact, volunteer-driven developmental organization with a vision to transform the society by empowering technical and financially disadvantaged women to maximize their economic potential and opportunities. We believe empowering women is key to developing the society.We are surrounded by a lot of struggling small businesses being run mostly by women who because of their lack of structure find it hard to access funds. Looking deeper, it was realized that they needed real help; not only financially, but education and enlightenment. This presented an opportunity for impact, and with a team of positive people we started in 2016.Today, we have about 1105 small scale entrepreneurs in 5 different locations in Lagos, Nigeria who benefit from the Helping Lives Together initiative (Ikeja, Olowora, Ejigbo, Ipaja and Agege). What we do for them:We teach them weekly (about tips to grow their businesses and how to stay relevant in changing times)We encourage them through their challenging times We offer them free loans, no interest, no collateralsWe encourage them to save weeklyWe also encourage them to invite their friends.We celebrate with them.Activities/Events1. Weekly trainings by in-house or external facilitators2. No interest, non collaterized loans 3. Business Showcase meetings4. Family Meetings5. Leadership/Team Performance reviewsWe have a few full time staff and a couple of volunteers and partners.How can you be a part of this initiative?1.
