Corporate capital of Lagos state, home to administrative office of virtually all the big firms in Nigeria. Security is high and night life is good. Apartments are very expensive, government water is metallic and can not be used without treatment, power supply is not so good, there is constant traffic and water logged streets when it rains

A very peaceful place where people move about twenty four hours without any security challenge. Also good for business and job opportunities

Crowded. Noisy. Annoying traffic wardens and 'agberos'. Bad roads they never fix. TRAFFIC! Annoying buses EVERYWHERE. Close proximity to a large market. Easily locatable. Mid point between island and mainland. Major business area. Old buildings. Historic ! A little dirty. Did I mention traffic ?

Lagos island is a Town which is central to most major areas in Lagos, it was the first develop area in Lagos, the CBD of Lagos.
So many companies and organisation started from Lagos island, some are still situated there others have moved base.
But Lagos island need restructured, it's infrastructures are getting old and ancient, hoodlums and thieves are in the city, so you most be careful while walking in the city of Lagos island.response / report this review -

Wonderful place where you can get a bunch of things to buy for considerably low prices, but you'll have to walk extensively to find very cheap items. But all in all, it's a good place to get a variety of things.

Lagos Island is every inch similar to the state of New York. It houses the good, the bad, and the ugly. For the most part of it, Lagos Island boasts of its commercial viability. It's the centre of art and culture, famous for Eyo Lagos Festival. The view of Lagos Island is very fascinating at both day and night. Fine architectural streets with historical building all around but you have to be street smart to survive in Lagos
