Loved the old building. The guide was also quite knowledgeable. Would definitely visit again
Rich history , and a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour guide.
Gidan Makama is a museum located near the emir's palace. It showcases the traditional artifact and culture of the native settlers of Kano. The museum building was built with mud brick which is what the Hausa people use for building their huts. This is the best place to go when you want to learn the history and culture of the Kano settlers.
The structures and artifacts are well preserved. I particularly like the museum guide
It's National Museum were you can se Hausa traditional items
