The funaab zoo belongs to the federal University of agriculture. It's situated like 2 mins drive away from the school gate. The zoo has a wide variety of birds, wild and crawling animals. The zoo also has an area that can be used for picnics. It's a beautiful place to be.

Beautiful spots to hang out and hold meetings. As at 2018, the zoo is slowly increasing the number of animals and improving it's facilities. Meet the director, you can use it's halls for seminars and stuff.

The FUNAAB zoo is quite good.
Although they need more animals (especially the wild lives), but it was a good experience. The long age tortoise, the donkeys, ostrich and more brought about reflection and made for good sightseeing.
They need to work on their pricing and more though.

It's definitely a zoo but lacks for realism when it comes to the availability of stated animals. Most animals like the hyenas and lions stated to be there weren't visible. Although I saw cranes, porcupines, tortoise, snakes, monkeys, chimpanzee, wild dogs, bucks etc. It is quite a primary zoo that reflects life just like any other but lacks the standard of a big zoo where you get to see the elephants, lions, gazelles, cheetah etc.

I have several personal experiences with the Zoo Park. I visited the park in my first year of the university as part of the requirements to pass a zoology course.

The field trip to zoo was educative as well as entertaining, with various wonderful sights to behold. I was awed as to how various animals adapted to the simulated habitat. From Ostriches to Owls to Monkeys and various assortment of birds. I got lucky to have a conversation with the Director, and I learnt the processes of acquiring various animals, the difficulty and the ease attached.

Asides, the sight seeing, the zoo also harbours about two conference rooms (that I know of), for various events. I attended a conference there, a birthday party and a poetic event.

All in all, if you haven't been to the Funaab Zoo Park (Fu-Zoo). Check it out with an entrance fee as token as N200.

It's okay in the sense of a zoo, they have quite some animals and is a good educational or enlightenment centre. But the recreational facility ain't top notch.

Nothing much to see. A few animals here and there. If you have time to kill while touring Abeokuta and don't mind some bumpy road leading to the place, then I recommend it.

A nice, relatively new zoo. Not so many animals but ok for a secondary, primary school excursion. Also a good hangout spot. Minimal entrance fee.
