  Faculty is one of the five foundation Faculties with which the University started functioning in 1962. In 1966/67, the Faculty was one of the first units of the University to move to the permanent site at Ile-Ife and it is now one of the 13 Faculties in the University.
  
  Faculty of Agriculture building is one of the oldest building and one of the most beautiful faculty in Obafemi Awolowo University.
  
  It has 6 departments namely Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Extension & Rural Sociology (now Agricultural Extension & Rural Development), Animal Science (now Animal Sciences), Plant Science (now Crop Production & Protection), Soil Science (now Soil Science and Land Resources Management) and Department of Family, Nutrition and Consumer Sciences. Other units are OAU Teaching and Research (T&R) Farm and Institute of Agricultural research and Training (IAR&T), Ibadan.
