First Baptist Church Okelerin is one of the oldest Baptist churches in the Nigerian Baptist Convention and indeed the oldest surviving Baptist church in Nigeria that was directly established by the Southern American Baptist Convention Missionary, Revd. Thomas Jefferson Bowen on September 30, 1855.
