  Capital of Yobe state situated in northeast Nigeria. Typically dessert with huge agricultural potential. Main crops are millet, corn, groundnuts and beans. Livestock resources include cattle, sheep, goats, camels and poultry birds. Religion is predominantly Islamic with a complex mix of tribes including karekare, bolawa ad kanuri among others.
