Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Effurun, is a Catholic Church of the Catholic Diocese of Warri. It is situated in Jakpa Road, Effurun in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, Nigeria. It's has a population of about 3,000 members. It's slogan is "Heaven's Land" It's Members are lovely, receptive and caring. They are known for their food contributions to poor people in the neighborhood through their charity group called: "Food Bank," founded by Very Rev. Fr. Dr. John Mark Ikeke - her first Parish Priest. People from all across the neighborhood comes every last Saturday of the month in the morning to get food from corpus Christithe Food Bank gets supply of food stuff from members monthly This acts alone itself is one that has made many people love this parish. They are indeed following the foothsteps of Jesus who fed the people with not only spiritual food but also with physical food.. ( Matt. 14:13-21, Mark 9:10-17 & Jn. 6:1-14)
