Its a small airport. No much facilities. Get four stars cos its in the heart of the city.
Awesome experience, I nice place to be
Typical small airport. Not lots of facilities. Nothing to see or do either. Gets 4 stars because it's in the heart of town and quite easy to locate and access. Watch out for traffic on some routes though.
In my opinion, Benin is a relatively small town with external traffic coming in at a relatively low rate. This situation is seemingly reflective in the overall look & feel of the airport. At best, it seems like an oversized private airfield.
I'm not even going to get into what needs to be upgraded, left to me, I'll have it stripped down and rebuilt from scratch. Considering the history of the Benin people and their significance to Nigeria, they deserve a much better 'monument' to welcome their guests and 'sons of the soil' to their home.
The one thing that sort of impressed me, based on their current standard & as at the time of writing this review, was the cleanliness of the bathroom. That was one area I had mentally prepared myself for a rude awakening but alas a decent enough public bathroom.
Seems adequate enough
Typical small airport. Not lots of facilities. Nothing to see or do either
This airport seems adequate enough for local flights in benin. Average parking space. Standard waiting area like most local airports.
The Airport is just there . nothing special nothing spectacular....just basic. Come in , check in board and fly off. The facilities are not properly maintained. Cubwebs all over the ceiling, dusts and red sand colorations all over the ceiling and walls. The central air conditioning system at the check in counters and departure hall are not functioning. Flew with Arik to Lagos and surprisingly the flight was on schedule. The only problem I had at checking in was the delay. The process was very slow and you wait long in line. But after checking in your luggage, you cross immigration....a little stop and search and you are let go. The immigration guys there were very professional...for the first time nobody asked "anything for the boys?". The waiting hall before departure was cool. The air conditioning system was functioning though illumination there was poor. The toilet too was clean. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the toilet and surprising there was nobody standing buy with the toilet roll asking " oga you want tissue paper?". Finally boarding was hitch free. In summary, the airport needs face lift...at least to make it look like an airport and not an abandoned warehouses. The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authorities can do much better than they currently do.... By the way there was wheelchair access which was good to mention. I wish Nigeria well.
This is the worse airport so far. No electricity in the airport. Meaning manual check-in n manual security check. No AC.. no wifi no security supervision through the cameras because the cameras are off.
The Airport is small and needs more facilities...
Small airport. No late night flights. In need of modernization.
Was not too bad. Quite daunting as westerner collecting luggage. Plane was nice . Had someone waiting for me so that was good. Not sure how it would have been it extremely hot. It was quite well organized
Benin airport nice place
Okay but doesn't have sufficient waiting seats. Located just about 7 minutes drive away from city centre.
it's OK for now. please improve
Small airport.. large parking area. Few seats at the ticketing area.
