The rooms are better now. An upgrade was made . Kudos to the management. That said, professional staff need to be hired. Intercom needs to work.

Barwee is a nice Hotel. It is quite secure because its located along the roadside just opposite the Nigerian Air Force Base in Maiduguri.
It is aesthetically averagely beautiful and has a some important amenities such as a swimming pool, air conditioned rooms, good security, running water, restaurant a good parking space and a relatively fair price. However, some of their services and amenities are not delivered at their best such as poor reception service, unreliable power supply, ineffective restaurant.
It still remains a good place to lodge though; it has good proximity to airport (less than 10minutes drive). It is also easy to just walk out and get any other stuff you need because it is close to residential areas.response / report this review -

The Hotel is big and spacious, and in a very good location, about 10 minutes drive from the airport. Has a swimming pool and pool side bar for relaxation. However, the staff from the reception are not impressive, they are untrained and looks like people who do not know what to do.
The kitchen is very big with nice furniture but you need at least, two hours to get anything from there. And don't be surprised if after an hour you are told there is no gas to cook or there is white rice but no stew.
The rooms have very comfortable beds and their suites have one of the best furniture but there may not be towel, mirror and other basic things.
The swimming pool is also abandoned and not kept so don't have hope of swimming.response / report this review -

The room is nice, toilet not fully clean. Military presence makes the security tight. Light is another issue. Average price without full value.

The idea for the hotel is quite good. But it is suffering from poor staff and management. Investment needs to go into capacity building for the entire personnel.

Barwee is one of the best hotels in Borno state. It is located just at the entrance of Maiduguri city. As you are coming in to the town you will locate it just at the opposite of FAAN quarters after NAF base. There are halls and meeting rooms for various purposes. There is also a swimming pool side with a great view. Rooms ranging from standards to charlets for the choice of singles and family sizes.

A lovely place to stay in Maiduguri. It's however, pricey. Prices from 13, 800 per night. At this time though, most hotels are overtaken by NGOs, thus, causing the hike in room rates due to the laws of demand.

At Barwee, there is always a Warm Staff treatment, Honest information regards any questions that is asked, extra assistance in case of emergencies,all guests feel at home, they have a great location that is Clean and orderly,coupled with straightforward services at all time.
